Wyclef was born in Haiti, but moved to Brooklyn in New York when he was 9.

It All Began…

At school when Wyclef formed a group with his friend Prakazrel Michel and his classmate Lauryn Hill. Their band was called Tranzlator Crew and they became The Fugees .

When Not Making Music:

Wyclef is a special ambassador for his homeland of Haiti. He has set up a foundation Yele Haiti to provide aid and assistance.

Mad But True:

Wyclef can rap in 6 languages. SIX!! They are Creole, English, French, Spanish, Japanese and Arabic.
