Rogue Traders
UK DJs James Ash and Steve Davis formed Rogue Traders in 2003 and wrote the band’s debut album – We Know What You’re Up To. The third single from the album, a reworking of INXS’ Need You Tonight re-titled as One Of My Kind, gave the band their first hit in Australia, where one half of the band is based.

The group’s original members DJs Steve Davis and James Ash are from the UK but vocalist Natalie is an Aussie.
It All Began…
When Steve and James met in London in 1989. Before becoming Rogue Traders in 2003, they were dance act Union State as well as working on other music projects.
Awards:
ARIA award for Best Dance Track for the song “One Of My Kind”, the 2006 MTV Australian Video Music Award for Best Dance Video for “Voodoo Child”, the APRA Most Performed Dance Work award for “Way To Go!”

Vocalist Natalie Bassingthwaighte played Izzy Hoyland in Neighbours.

James Ash’s grandfather, Bob Merrill, wrote the famous song How Much is that Doggie in the Window.

Voodoo Child, from second album Here Come The Drums, which charted at No.3 in July 2006.
