The Notorious B.I.G aka Biggie Smalls was born in Brooklyn, New York.

It All Began…

When he attended Westinghouse High School where Jay-Z and Busta Rhymes were both students. He began rapping at a young age, performing with local groups and after leaving prison made a demo tape which landed in the hands of The Source magazine's Unsigned Hype pages. Label manager Sean 'P Diddy' Combs heard his material and signed him to Uptown Records immediately.

When Not Making Music:

Biggie was involved in a beef between the East and West Coast Hip-hop scenes. During an interview in 1995, rival Tupac Shakur accused Biggie and Combs of having knowledge of an robbery which involved him being shot. Biggie denied the accusations.

Mad But True:

Biggie only released one album while he was alive. Three more studio albums have been released posthumously.
