From:

Ciara was born in Austin, Texas and lived on army bases in Germany, New York, Utah, California, Arizona and Nevada as a child. Her family settled in Atlanta when she was a teenager

It All Began…

Dreams of becoming pop star started when she watched Destiny's Child perform on television. She joined a girl group called Hearsay (not the UK one!) but when that didn't work out she met her "musical soulmate" Jazze Pha . Jazze helped her get a deal and the rest, as they say, is history!

Awards:

She's won a Grammy in 2006 for the video for "Lose Control", her collaboration with Missy Elliot

When Not Making Music:

Ciara's started making some films. She made her acting debut in "All You've Got" as Becca Watley, the queen bee of a high school volleyball team.

Her favourite film is Austin Powers: Goldmember
