It All Began When… Her mother asked producer Ryan Leslie to record a song with Cassie as a birthday gift. He played it to Sony mogul Tony Mottola and within weeks Mottola was managing her. She signed to Bad Boy Records after P.Diddy heard ‘Me & U’ in a club.

She keeps a regular blog on her myspace page. Three weeks after launching it she was a Top 10 myspace artist- creating major hype around her before she’d even put out a record.

Did You Know?

Cassie is trilingual. She speaks English, conversational Spanish and Filipino-based language Tagalog.

Mad But True:

Despite appearing in Abercrombie & Finch and Adidas campaigns, Cassie’s modeling agency Wilhelmina outrageously asked her to loose weight. This prompted Cassie to stop modeling and concentrate on music. Go girl.
