From:
Amerie was born in Massachusettes but travelled during her childhood as her father was in the US military. She thinks of Washington DC as her hometown and went to Georgetown University.
It All Began…
In 2001 when she was featured "Rule" - a track on Nas' "Stillmatic" album". Since then she's had two best selling albums and is about to release a 3rd.

Amerie has hosted some television shows and appeared in a couple of films.

Did You Know?
Amerie's first language is Korean and she signs autographs in both the English and the Korean spelling.It's rumoured the new album will feature collaborations with Korean pop star Se7en.
